What is Good?

Proverbs 18:22

22He who finds a wife finds a good thing, And obtains favor from the Lord.

King Solomon was very profound. Here is what the translation says in the New King James Study Bible

"A good wife is understood to be one pleasing to God and thus helpful to her husband and a joy to all. The parallel structure adds emphasis as the second line of the verse explains the first. In other words, the finding of a wife is a sign of God's favor. That every wife is not a good wife is implicit here and this is the 'good' wife"

The translation then refers back to Proverbs 31:10  which is used to describe a virtuous woman. Men, if you do not reference your Bible, how will you know if what is in front of you is good? The inspection is not just on the outside. You must also know where her heart is. If she is pleasing to God then you better believe she will be there for you. As this holiday is the unofficial start to the summer season, men be careful not to pick up strays but remember what is good.
