Proverbs 14:6
6The mocker seeks wisdom and finds none, but knowledge comes easily to the discerning.
A
mocker is one who imitates but not out of adoration but out of
contempt. A mocker will seek wisdom first and foremost for the wrong
reasons. Remember God knows the heart and that's exactly why when a
mocker seeks wisdom they are unable to find it. Their eyes and heart are
blind to truth. Why? Because they do not wish to really hear from God.
Their motive is to misuse God's wisdom. But one who truly desires to
know God, hear from God and follow God will find what they seek. Mockers
come in all forms but most importantly you should know them by their
fruit. The lack of wisdom and knowledge of a mocker will be reflected in
their actions. The contempt they have for God's wisdom will be
reflected in all their undertakings though they think to be wise in
their own eyes. But no matter what they do, the heart of contempt is at
the center. One who truly desires God, who possesses all wisdom and
knowledge, will at the heart of every action or undertaking seek the
Lord. The actions of the imitator will come to light sooner or later.
